Prayer Guides

Welcome to the Prayer and Prophetic Blog page of Dr. Danielle and Power of Prayer Radio. Here you will find daily scriptures, encourging stories and rhema words that are given as we are praying. We are in great expectation of a mighty outpouring of God's presence in our city, state and nation. 2nd Chronicles 7:14-15 declares "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place." I believe God has chosen this place called "Bakersfield" to birth revival and an awakening that will impact our city, transform our state and shake the nations.

Our mission is to declare and release God’s word through strategic prayer initiatives and targeted intercession coupled with action to release the call to REPENT, REPAIR AND RETURN that will empower our city, impact our state and affect our nation. Our goal is to see God’s plan and purpose manifest on earth as it is in heaven through intercessory prayer. Join us as we journey on the glorious road to revival! ~ Dr. Danielle

When you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, Colossians 1:13 says you were delivered from the power of darkness. The word power is literally translated “authority.” You have been delivered from the power, or authority, of darkness and placed into God’s kingdom. Jesus said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore...” (Matthew 28:18-19). That power was given to you as part of your inheritance in Christ Jesus. You have entered into this position of authority because you are in Him.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19(kjv) As you can see from scripture you have the power, authority and ability to cast out of your atmosphere everything that is dark, deadly and negative from your life. But again, you must chose to utilize the authority and the great and exciting part of this enigma is that it WORKS. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

How authority works

Authority doesn't beg; authority doesn't ask; authority commands! We are not told to ask God to cast out demons, we are told to do it ourselves! Due to the lack of confidence and application of scripture many believers will ask instead of commanding. When you have been given the authority to take control asking God to cast out the darkness and power that has encroached upon them instead of doing it themselves. When we do that we are asking God to do something that He has already equipped us to do ourselves!

One of the most vital areas of the believer’s authority is his power to successfully stand against Satan. Ephesians 4:27 says, “Neither give place to the devil.” In Ephesians 6, the Apostle Paul describes the armor that we as believers are to wear in combat against Satan. He explains each piece of that armor. It is the armor of God. But not once does he say that God will put the armor on you or that God will fight the devil for you. You is the understood subject of these verses. He says, “[You] be strong in the Lord…. [You] put on the whole armor of God, that [you] may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. [You] take the whole armor of God, that [you] may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, [you] stand.”

God has given you the power and the authority to stand against Satan and his destructive works. He has provided the armor, but it is your responsibility as a believer to put on that armor and stand against the devil. James 4:7 says, “[You] resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” The armor and the weapons are at your disposal. God is there with you to back His Word; but all that is worthless unless you take your position of authority and assume the responsibility to use what He has provided. You have the power and the authority to take the Word of God, the Name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit and run Satan out of your affairs. Don’t pray and ask God to fight Satan for you. You are the one in authority. Take your responsibility and speak directly to Satan yourself and stand your ground firmly. He will flee!

Taking authority affirmation prayer:

Father I confess that I have been intimidated by the enemy and have hesitated to step out in obedience to enforce your authority in the earth. Today I choose to walk in authority instead of just taking authority. Father I discern and judge myself first, so that I have no fear of condemnation, I receive the spiritual authority that Jesus has given to all of us as believers, I choose to be a good steward of the spiritual authority that has been entrusted to me.

I fully submit and humble myself at your feet. I will allow God's love to be perfected in me, casting out all fear in Christ; I have spiritual authority to forgive, to call those things that are not as though they were. I have the authority to command healing, to command change, to command peace. I will practice what I teach, I will speak what you say, and I will act as a child of the most high God, submitting to the stricter judgment of God. My motivation is to know Jesus and to grow in his character and fruit. My soul thirsts to be in right relationship with Jesus conforming to your authority.

I will be a true peacemaker confronting evil, I will not settle for passiveness or compromise with my flesh. I operate in my gifts in the fullness of the measure that was given to me, I will speak the truth and preach the gospel in authority, without boasting, not touching your glory, I say what the Father says to say with great boldness of speech, Jesus has given me power over demonic spirits; and they are subject to me. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen!

he word of the Lord: Matthew 4

Take claim and declare my word. For I will answer in response to my word. It is written!

Prayer is so powerful and all too often we underestimated the dynamic power that we have been given to effect change in our lives, our communities and even the world. R.A. Torrey said “Prayer is Omnipotent, it can do what God can do!” WOW imagine that! That your prayers can do what God can do. No limits, no boundaries just answered prayers. You may ask yourself how this is possible and the answer can be found in three little yet powerful words…. IT IS WRITTEN.

There are several places in the New Testament where you will find Jesus quoting the Old Testament prophets using the words, “It is written.” And the Apostles following in the footsteps of Jesus begin to do the same, quoting the Old Testament and Jesus. And since they are our examples this should prove to us the importance of proclaiming the word of God in our prayers or simply put, quoting the scriptures. When Jesus was in the wilderness and Satan can to temp him, Jesus pulled out the most powerful weapon there was. The Word!

Matthew 4:4 - But he answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but my every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:7- Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God

Matthew 4:10 -Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you,[d] Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.

And my favorite: Matthew 21:13a – It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer.

Some thirty-eight hundred times the Bible declares, “God said,” or “Thus says the Lord” and our great example Jesus saw this as a foundational principle in every aspect of his life. He would quote scripture to overcome evil, to bring healing, to teach the disciples, to encourage, to empower, etc, etc and we should do the same. Why? Because God's word cannot ever fail. It is all-powerful and can do anything. When we bring God’s word directly into our praying, we are bringing God’s power into our praying. Hebrews 4:12 declares, “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword.”

Let’s journey back to the beginning, where there was nothing just space, just God. Yet, with a single command from His mouth everything that is came into existence. (Psalm 33:6). And by that same word, and that same mouth, God has promised to give us anything we ask for in prayer. More than that, He has given us His guarantee in writing.

Mark 11:24 - Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And then a few chapters later Jesus reminds us again saying: "I tell you solemnly once again, if two of you on earth agree to ask anything at all, it will be granted to you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three meet in my name, I shall be there with them." (Matt.18:19-20).

When we infuse our prayers with the word of God our prayers become effective, powerful and unstoppable. Hebrews 4:12 declares, “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword.” And by praying the Word of God you are bringing God’s power and all that he is into your prayers. When praying the Word of God, you are talking his language, words that he understands, words that he has promised to watch over and perform. Jeremiah 1:12.

As a believer you have been given an amazing opportunity to come boldly and in full confidence before the throne of God the Father. And as you stand before a holy God, you have nothing to fear because you are not coming on your own merit, or authority. You are coming in the name of Jesus to ask of the Father, something that he has already promised to give you! You are simply giving him back his word or as Isaiah 43:26 says, “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that you may be justified.”

And according to John15:7, which says, “If ye abide in me [Jesus], and MY WORDS abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” Faith in Jesus and absolute trust in the Word he has spoken will land you in the realm of answered prayer every time. And this is where you want to live. The place where prayers are answered, lives are transformed and miracles are performed.

If we want to see change in our lives and the lives of those around us and in our nation we must begin to use the most powerful weapon that we have been given and that is the “Sword of the spirit- the Word of God.” Remember ALL of God’s power comes to us through prayer because prayer can do what God can do. NO LIMITS, NO BOUNDREIS! For example if someone needs healing for their eyes or ears; you can declare; It is written; blessed are your eyes, for they do see; and your ears, for they do hear (Matthew 13:16. If someone is dealing with depression or oppression you can declare; it is written; Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. (Isaiah 61:3). If someone is in prison, you can declare; it is written; He has sent me to announce the release of prisoners. (Luke 4:18)

As we are praying through these 100 days, be encourage and know in your heart that the prayer you are asking for will be answered, even at the very moment you ask for it to be done. When praying believe with all your heart that God has already answered your request and begin to thank him for answered prayer. God is listening… What are you speaking?

~Your prayers are powerful and when you pray the Word your prayers become active, alive, and full of power that can be used to bring forth blessings. Below are a few scriptural prayers and declarations that can be prayed during your 1 hour of prayer. Enjoy and get ready to enter the realm of ANSWERED PRAYER! __________________________________________________________________________________________________

SCRIPTURES DECLARATIONS FOR YOUR CITY

Thank you, Father, that You are restoring the judges of our city as at the first and our counselors as at the beginning. We call our a city RIGHTEOUS—a FAITHFUL city. (Isaiah 1:26).

Father, we declare that because we are SEEKING the peace and welfare of our city, and PRAYING to YOU for it, we are ENJOYING peace and welfare. (Jeremiah 29:7).

Father, we declare that this city is being delivered because the believers of this city acknowledge our poverty of spirit, by not looking to our own wisdom, but drawing from the wisdom that is from above. (Ecclesiastes 9:15).

Father, we declare that Your people in this city are not caught up in building our own houses and adorning them, but we are consumed with building YOUR house; and therefore, YOU are the Keeper and Guard of our city. (Haggai 1:9; Psalm 127:1).

Father, we declare that our city is rejoicing because it is going well with the uncompromisingly righteous. By the blessing of the influence of the UPRIGHT, we call our city EXALTED. (Proverbs 11:10-11).

Father, we declare that because Your people of this city are wise, we are scaling the city walls of the mighty and bringing down the strongholds in which this city trusts. (Proverbs 21:22).

Thank you, Father, that You are purging our city of scoffers who would set it afire, inflaming the minds of the people, and because Your people are using Godly wisdom, we are turning away wrath. (Proverbs 29:8).

Father, we lift our voice to declare the song that You have given us to sing over our city, which says, “We have a strong city, the Lord sets up salvation as walls and bulwarks.” (Isaiah 26:1).

Thank you, Father, that You are raising up Your people to rebuild the ancient ruins, and to raise up the former desolations and renew the ruined cities and devastation of many generations. You are causing us to be called the repairers of the breach and restorers of streets to dwell in. (Isaiah 61:4; 58:12).
